If there is one thing we can’t figure out when it comes to pizza, it’s how to make them round. Tossing them in the air is a mystery which has resulted in much swearing. We’ve finally given up, and simply roll them out. This dough pizza we wanted to make extra thin crust, but the middle of the dough got stuck while rolling. After a recovery operation, folding the dough over itself and rolling again, we ended up with this half-moon shape. Looks don’t matter, taste does (or so we tell ourselves, over and over).
Pizza Recipe
- Pizza dough
- tomato sauce
- 18 grape tomatoes
- 1/2 green bell pepper
- 1/2 onion
- 1/4 cup Pecorino romano cheese
- 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
Grate the pecorino romano and parmesan cheeses and mix them together. Cut the tomatoes in half, cut the green peppers in slices, and the onion in rings.
Roll out the pizza dough, and spread the tomato sauce evenly around. Spread the cheese mix, tomatoes, green peppers and onions around the pizza. Bake the pizza in the middle of the oven on a baking stone for about 10-12 minutes at 400 degrees until the cheese has melted. This pizza only has a small amount of cheese so we can better enjoy the taste of the fresh veggies.
My taste are on end as I read your art here. But please invite me over when you make this master pieace of food. I don’t eat after 7:00pm and most of the time i’am okay, but because of you I’m going crazy.
I have the same problem with pizza dough, It’s usually really hard to get it into a round shape. I guess I should try experimenting with the dough recipe.
