A great tasting pizza for every occasion. This is fairly simple to make except for the dough, but places like Trader Joe’s now sell pizza dough which should make this super easy. We made this pizza as part of a giant birthday party involving 8 other pizzas which you can find elsewhere on amazing sandwiches.
Pizza Recipe
- 1 pizza dough
- 7 tbs mascarpone/pesto mix
- 8 slices of prosciutto
- 8-10 roasted garlic
- 4 tbs goat cheese
- 6 mushrooms
- 1/2 oz butter
- 2 garlic cloves
Slice the mushroom into quarts or 1/4 inch slices. In a pan on high heat, melt the butter. When the butter is hot and has started bubbling, turn the heat back to medium and then press the two garlic cloves through a garlic press into the pan. Stir for 10 seconds then add the mushrooms. Keep stirring for about 2 minutes then remove the mushrooms. They should have soaked up the butter and taste like garlic, yet not be soggy.
Roll out the dough and spread the mascarpone/pesto mix evenly all the way to the edge as shown below. Add the mushrooms, prosciutto, goat cheese and roasted garlic.
Bake in a 400 degree pre-heated oven for about 10-12 minutes until the pizza is golden brown and the cheese has melted.
What an amazing pizza! Just looking at it make me drool.
