A simple appetizer, but not cheap due to the tuna. However, well worth the money if you like us love seared tuna. We got a few nice steaks at Costco and decided to make Tuna Sandwiches, and appetizers from the leftovers. This is one of them, and it belong in the very tasty food group 🙂
Appetizer Recipe
- 1 cracker
- 1 tsp ricotta cheese
- 1 slice of seared tuna
- A tiny dash of vodka mustard (1/16 of a tsp)
- 1 fried sage leaf
- 1 pinch of cumin salt
Assembling this is as simple as adding the ingredients one by one: Cracker, ricotta, tuna, mustard, sage, salt
To fry a sage leaf, heat up olive oil to medium heat, enough to cover the leaf. Place the leaf, and make sure it is dry, in the olive oil. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes and remove carefully.
To make cumin salt, use a food processor to blend even parts salt and cumin powder until very fine.
