Sometimes a simple sandwich is the best; this one has Maria’s liver pâté, onion, creamy garlic paste and a little onion. A perfect combo, so despite an urge add more, we stuck to ‘simple’. After being sick with the cold for 5 days, this was also pretty much what we could handle, as we were both exhausted. It’s nice to recover with a great sandwich, and we hope to get back to creating some great new ones this upcoming weekend. Thanksgiving is also approaching, so if anyone has great turkey sandwiches, let us know and we just might give them a try!
Liver Pate Sandwich Recipe
- One sesame bagel
- 2 tbs creamy garlic paste (We got ours at The Majestic Garlic at the Temecula Farmers Market). If we can figure out the recipe, we will post it.
- 6-7 tsp liver pâté, we use our own homemade Pâté
- 1 tbs onion, diced or slices like here (about one slice of onion rings through the middle of the onion)
Toast the sesame bagel, and heat the liver pate. The bagel should be golden brown along the edges. Cut the bagel and spread a tbs garlic paste on each half. Add the liver pâté and onion and you’re done. Close the bagel and enjoy while hot.
